Dr. Jeff Clayton, Dr. Aaron Brown, and Dr. Rohith Piyaratna lead physician recruiting at CASE Medical Group, partnering closely with Frances Bonck, Physician Recruitment Coordinator, to bring decades of combined experience in identifying and attracting top anesthesiology talent. Together, they oversee recruitment across all sites, working closely with committee chairs, subgroup leaders, and clinical teams to engage candidates throughout the process.
Frances Bonck, Physician Recruitment Coordinator, supports these efforts through strategic outreach, candidate engagement, interview coordination, and recruitment operations. She helps guide candidates through each stage of the process, creating a seamless and personalized experience from initial contact through onboarding.

Jeff Clayton, MD
Jeff grew up in San Diego, where he took full advantage of life by the Pacific Ocean—swimming, sailing, and surfing. He completed his undergraduate studies at UCSB and went on to Med School in Wisconsin. After finishing his training at Stanford, he joined CASE and has now been part of the team for over 30 years. While Sacramento may not have surf, the coast is within reach, and the nearby mountains and rivers offer endless opportunities for outdoor adventure. In his free time, Dr. Clayton enjoys hiking, biking, swimming, and paddling—most often with his wife and college-aged son, and occasionally solo on his days off from anesthesia and recruiting.
Aaron Brown, MD
Aaron is originally from Santa Cruz, California. He majored in Biomedical Engineering from Cal Poly University and went on to complete both Medical school and Anesthesia training at UC Davis. He joined CASE in 2023 and has been loving his experience ever since. Now considering himself a Sacramento local, Aaron enjoys exploring his new hometown. Outside of work, his interests include video games, food, travel, and staying active through fitness.
Rohith Piyaratna, MD
Rohith (Ro) was born and raised in Sri Lanka and moved to the USA in 2000. He attended Macalester College in MN, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in TN, and completed his Anesthesia residency at Stanford University in CA. Despite having no ties or family in Sacramento, he moved from Palo Alto immediately after his residency and joined CASE in 2012. He lives blissfully with his wife and kids in Granite Bay, CA. In his free time, he enjoys reading, gardening, and has a knack for keeping group chats lively with perfectly timed memes.

Frances joined CASE in 2019. Born in the Philippines and raised in New Orleans, Frances brings a diverse perspective and strong sense of connection to her work. She is involved throughout the recruitment process, from outreach to onboarding. Frances enjoys connecting with people and creating a positive experience for every candidate. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, exploring new restaurants, and staying active through skiing and fitness.
